Newly Published: Research Verifies the Impact of Trauma-Informed Education in Legal Settings

In partnership with the University of Maryland and Dr. Mona Mittal (Associate Professor, Department of Family Science, School of Public Health), Volare’s Trauma-Informed Lawyering trainings were used to evaluate the effects that trauma education provides for legal professionals.
The research provided qualitative data and testimonials that highlight positive outcomes through attendance. Overall, participants noted how the training provided both insightful information and actionable tools they continued to use well after their sessions. Additionally, many participants emphasized how important trauma education is, especially with it not being provided in their legal education otherwise.
