Ex-teacher at DC's Duke Ellington School found guilty of sexually abusing student

A D.C. Superior Court jury has found former Duke Ellington School of the Artsteacher Mark Williams guilty of sexually abusing a student when she was 17 years old.

The jury rendered a partial verdict Wednesday, finding Williams guilty on eight of 10 counts of sexual abuse of a minor and secondary student, agreeing with prosecutors that he used his position at the acclaimed arts school to induce the student into a sexual relationship in 2014. At the time, he was 47 years old.
