Volare's 14th Annual Benefit

  • Sidley Austin 1501 K Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20005 United States (map)

Join us to celebrate Volare's 14th Annual Benefit at the offices of Sidley Austin!  The Annual Benefit is an opportunity to come together as a community to support survivors of crime, and support Volare's free, holistic, and trauma-informed services!

Come and network with like-minded individuals including folks from law firms, government, nonprofits, and many other sectors! Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Tickets, guest speakers, and awards will be announced soon, so stay tuned!

We are thrilled to share that Denise Huskins and Aaron Quinn will be joining as keynote speakers! You might recognize Denise and Aaron from the 2024 Netflix docuseries American Nightmare, which tells the unbelievable true story of Denise’s 2015 kidnapping and the chaos that followed. Since then, Denise and Aaron have become powerful advocates for justice. They’ve partnered with Volare to support restorative justice work in federal prisons, and we’re honored to have them speak at this year’s event.

This year, we are honored to present awards to four of our partners who have demonstrated their passion and commitment to our community.

The Lydia Watts Pro Bono Award celebrates outstanding pro bono partners who go above and beyond in advancing justice for survivors. This year, we are proud to recognize two exceptional recipients. Cooley is honored for its instrumental partnership during a transformative period in Volare’s evolution. Hogan Lovells is recognized for its exceptional and sustained support through multiple critical phases of Volare’s growth.

The Survivor Advocacy Award honors individuals or organizations that demonstrate a deep commitment to working in close partnership with Volare and local communities to advance the needs and rights of survivors. Since 2023, Forward Global has been an indispensable partner to Volare, providing our staff with advanced tools and expert guidance that empower us to serve clients facing complex and resource-constrained challenges.

The Champion Award is given to those who exemplify leadership in championing the rights of survivors—those who ensure access to vital protections, resources, and long-term support systems that survivors need to heal and thrive. Allison PR has been selected as this year’s award recipient in recognition of its outstanding media training sessions for our leadership team and invaluable resources created for survivors.
